Police in New Canaan received a complaint from an area treatment facility on March 28, leading to an investigation, which determined that the suspect was an employee at the facility, who allegedly committed a larceny involving a patient that led to a total loss of $1,100 to the victim.

After receiving the report, the New Canaan Police Investigative Section began an investigation into the larceny and it was determined that Bridgeport resident Drew Eccleston, 30 was employed at the facility during the time of the incident.

On Tuesday, June 5, Eccleston surrendered himself into police custody, where he was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. This was Eccleston’s fifth arrest for this type of incident, police noted.

Following processing, Eccleston was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on Wednesday to answer the charge.
